Group Name : ZENITH

We decided to choose "ZENITH" as our group name because the meaning of ZENITH is the time at which something is most powerful and successful. 

Group Formation:

We are from same course which is Bachelor Engineering Technology (Infrastructure Management). Our group members consists of 5 females and 1 males. 

Group Coordination and Management

For our discussion, we use Google Meet platform because it is the easiest way to communicate with our group members to discuss our progress for E-portfolio report and Blogger. We use Whatsapp Group to send the pictures and to share the information that we find in the Internet. Blogging platform that we choose is Blogspot.

"Child Abused in Malaysia"

CID Topic Justification

Child abuse is defined by the World Health Organization as any form of abuse, including physical, emotional, sexual, neglect, abuse, maltreatment, or exploitation, that may result in injury or damage to a child's health, life, development, or dignity, and is perpetrated by those who have responsibility, trust, or authority over the child. We must sometimes distinguish between abuse and a parent's right to discipline their child. 

There are many cases of child abuse happening in our country. One example of child abuse that has recently been hotly debated on all social media is when it was discovered that Siti Bainun Ahd Razali, the founder of Rumah Bonda, had been abusing Bella, a girl with Down Syndrome who had been entrusted in her care. Siti Bainun was accused of assaulting Bella for about four months, between March and June 2021. During the trial, horrific details about Bella's abuse began to emerge, including how she was scalded and her food was tainted with vinegar and chilli. The operator of the centre is currently on trial under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001, which entails a maximum term of 20 years in prison or a fine of RM50,000, or both, depending on the circumstances.
